Woven Roman Shades

Unlike shades that a homeowner must roll up in order to look out a window, roman shades fold naturally as they are lifted toward the top of a window frame. Still, someone who goes shopping forĀ  roman style shades could hear mention of “roller shades.” Such shades are made out of fabric.

Unlike the roller shades, the woven roman shades contain a natural weave. Like the roller shades, the shades that feature a natural weave form folds at the window top, as those woven shades are lifted. A homeowner with an inspiration from nature might want to shade a room using the woven shades.

If that homeowner were to use the woven shades in a bedroom, then he or she might want to place a Blake lounge chair next to the bed. It has a solid teak frame, with handwoven rattan on the back and arms. Its polyfoam cushion can underscore a homeowner’s apprecation for nature.

If using woven shades in a bedroom, a homeowner might choose to put Kyoto lantern vases/candleholders on a dresser or side table. Each of those globe shaped vases/holders is made out of handblown ribbed glass. Some homeowners design their bedroom so that the light coming from that glass is reflected in a driftwood mirror.

Whenever a homeowner places woven shades on a bedroom window, that homeowner should consider buying one or two caney pillows. They come in three different natural tones–stone, ivory and teak. Their poly acrylic weave covers their down inserts.

The weave in bedroom shades can be accentuated by allowing it to complement the weave in some island rugs. Such rugs contain jute and sisal. They come in three different colors–moss, cream and honey.

Combined with such inspirations from nature, woven roman shades can serve to lighten the feeling of any bedroom. As a resting homeowner looks at those roman shades, he or she is sure to drift off, into a nature filled dream world.
