What Are Your Tattoo Removal Options?

Lots of people find themselves in a similar situation later in life when it comes to that tattoo they got when they were young: they don’t want it anymore.

Their reasons are varied. Maybe they need to hide it for the job. Maybe the tattoo is embarrassing, related to something they no longer identify with or think is cool. Or maybe even the tattoo just looks bad – either because it’s faded over the years or from the first day out of the shop, the art just wasn’t very good.

In any event, what are the options out there for dealing with this situation as far having a tattoo like this?

1. Get a Tattoo Cover Up
Depending on the size and colors of your tattoo, you might be able to get it covered up with yet another tattoo. This is an interesting option and is obviously only viable if you still want tattoos in general, just not the one you’ve currently got!

2. Try Tattoo Removal Cream
Since we’re talking about an older tattoo, you might try your luck with a cheap method that tends to work well with older tattoos: tattoo removal cream. Popular products under the umbrella of tattoo removal creams include Wrecking Ball, Tat B Gone, and Tattoo Away. Prices vary by product, but usually a months worth of applications costs about $50 to $60.

3. Laser Tattoo Removal
This is the real deal when it comes to removing tattoos. Lasers have been used successfully to zap out tattoo ink from the skin for decades at this point – the only qualms with this technique is the huge expense of treatments, as well as the unpleasantness of the experience. But it’s definitely a worthy option for removing tattoos.

4. Rejuvi
Rejuvi tattoo removal is one of the newer techniques to come about that is actually just as good or better than laser treatments. It requires treatments to be administered from a trained rejuvi professional, costs about as much as laser treatments, and takes about the same length of time to work.

If your tattoo is driving you nuts or if you just need to get it removed for a job, look into each of the four methods above. All of them work, some better than others, for either fading, hiding, or removing a tattoo.
