No matter how you look at it, a broken relationship is extremely painful. Finding ways of coping with a breakup is often difficult for many. Breaking up with a loved one leaves your world feeling as though it has been turned upside down. Just dealing with even the minor routine things is often overwhelming.

1. Keep yourself busy. Perhaps one of the worst things you can do is it sit around the house and mope about your situation. The only thing this will likely do is to cause your pain to increase. 2. Get out and about. If you continually stay home everyday, most likely you will be raiding the fridge and packing on the pounds. For many of us, when we are sad or depressed, we seek comfort from food. Call a friend up and do fun things such as, attend a concert, go roller skating or anything that brings you pleasure. You should probably stay clear of places that your ex often frequents. You both need time to heal and this is important when coping with breakup. This can’t happen if you are continually seeing each other.
3. Make being kind to yourself a priority. Because of the chaotic lifestyle many of us lead, we often forget about taking care of ourselves. When trying to cope with a breakup it is imperative that you are kind to yourself. This is the perfect time for you to indulge yourself.
