While most people consider birds to be amazing works of art that fly and soar in the air, the truth is that they can sometimes be considered pests as well.  I’m talking about the birds that congregate in huge numbers on people’s balconies and store awnings, leaving their messy bird droppings everywhere.  If this problem sounds familiar to you, there is a good chance that you have put some thought into how you can get these pests out of there.

One question that many people ask is if the bird spikes will look ugly on their railing.  Fortunately, there are two choices of spikes that you can get.  If you are worried aesthetics, your best option is to get ones that are made of plastic.  Plastic anti bird spikes are almost invisible from a distance, so they work great in places where you don’t want them to be seen.  On the other hand, if you are going to be using them on the roof, or another location that won’t be noticed by others, you can use metal ones since they tend to last a little bit longer.
