Maple Cotton Candy

Take the kids to the amusement park and you will see all of them clamoring to get those blue and pink cotton candies. In fact, a trip there will never be complete without it. Sure, those blue and pink cotton candies taste good, but maple cotton candy is much better. This time, instead of maple syrup, granulated maple sugar is used.

Maple cotton candy is easy to make. One does not even need a cotton candy machine to make these treats. To make maple butter cotton candy, one will need cane sugar, water, corn syrup, and maple sugar. A candy thermometer needs to also be used to ensure that the required temperature is reached. First, heat the maple sugar, cane sugar, water and corn syrup over low heat. Stir continuously until sugar is dissolved completely. At this point, burner heat can be raised. Using a candy thermometer, wait until a temperature of 310 degrees Fahrenheit is reached. Remove the pan from the burner and cool for about 15 minutes. During this time, nonstick cooking spray can be generously sprayed into a bowl. Then dip a fork in the mixture and drizzle slowly into the bowl following a circular pattern. Repeat this step until the bowl is full. The maple candy can now be eaten off the plate.

Some maple stores already have a prepared maple cotton candy mixture. However, this requires the use of a cotton candy machine. However, with this recipe, you can eat cotton candy anytime you want to. Now, there is no longer a need to visit a carnival, festival or even an amusement park to eat one. To make some desserts look a little more festive, maple cotton candy is used as decoration. In parties, you can serve French toast drizzled with maple syrup and topped with cotton candy to make it look elegant. Not only will it add extra flavor to the dessert, it will make it pretty too.
