Laser Tattoo Removal Risks

If you are interested in tattoo removal you have probably looked into laser tattoo removal and tattoo removal creams like Wrecking Balm.  If you are considering laser tattoo removal it’s a good idea that you familiarize yourself with some of the risks associated with the procedure.  Let me take a minute and talk about some of these risks so that you can be educated before making the decision to go ahead with laser tattoo removal.

The first risk of laser tattoo removal isn’t to your body but it’s rather to your pocketbook.  Laser tattoo removal is easily the most expensive of the tattoo removal methods.  You may end up paying thousands of dollars if you choose to go with laser tattoo removal.

The next risk associated with laser tattoo removal is the risk of scarring.  While the risk is low, it does exist and it goes up if the treated tattoo is not cared for properly after the laser tattoo removal treatments.

Of course there is the risk of experiencing pain during the procedure.  Some clinics will apply a topical numbing agent to the area to be treated but others do not.  There is a high probability that you will experience some degree of  pain both during the procedure and after the procedure.

There is a risk of developing large blisters at the treatment site.  If these blisters are not cared for properly they may lead to infection which is another risk associated with laser tattoo removal.

Yet another risk associated with laser tattoo removal is hyper pigmentation or hypo pigmentation. This simply means that there is a risk that the treated area may end up being slightly lighter in color or darker in color than the surrounding skin.

Finally, there is a risk that you will be unsatisfied with the results of the laser tattoo removal process.  It is rare that tattoos are not able to be fully remove with lasers but in some cases when the tattoo ink was originally deposited very deeply under the skin, it may not be possible to fully remove them with lasers.
