Coping With Stress: Five Tips You Can Use Today
Stress has been documented in children as well as adults, though the levels of stress would be different for these different age groups.
If you’re continually on the run, cannot remember where you park your vehicle, barely have any time for leisure, breathe out heavily, distance yourself from social life, look much older than your tangible age, think about work even before your bedtime, lead a life full of schedules…you are stressed but may not even know it.
Here are a few techniques to cope with stress.
View Stress Positively. Infrequently a tiny dose of stress can inspire us to increase our time management techniques to cause more successful results. While it’s right that all work and no play makes for dreary living, all play and no work isn’t extremely impressive either.
Learn From The Pros. Find an individual you know who never forgets to grin at everyone, wave and be nice regardless of the hustle and bustles of life. This is the individual you need to learn from on the way to manage stress.
Exercise. Take a short walk outside of the office building whenever stress gets out of hand. Otherwise, bring your gym clothes and go to a park for an evening job. Exercising controls blood flow and pumps oxygen from deep inside to the brain, making you energized and more cautious.
Live One Day At a Time. Utilize your life daily by targeting chores that should be done for the day. Worrying about things that are out of your control will not help that much.
Get A Hobby. Often continued stress leads to resentment. Resentment leads to decreased productivity. This leads to more stress. Having a hobby, and taking time to pursue it, allows you to give yourself permission to take time for yourself. This can effectively combat resentment that comes with constant demands on our time.
Unfortunately, all of us are under much more stress today than in generations past.
Life simply moves faster today. If you cannot eliminate stress, take time to learn to cope with it. You will be healthier, get more done and be able to live a happy life despite the constant demands on your attention.
