Stock markets are often referred to as bipolar people: they get depressed, they get euphoric. Tony Robbins has chosen to issue a warning. The tony robbins warning has to be seen for what it is, as a tool for awareness. The point of living in times of crisis is to see that crisis has often been taken as a negative period. The positive side of it might seem to be but a series of cool letters, but there is opportunity in crisis. The undeniable nature of how tides change in the market is akin to the moods of a beautiful woman, or even – for a less colorful metaphor – like the weather.

Not aware of just how many people can be hurt by the drop in consumption, consumers have allowed their petty lack of money or credit stop them from spending. That, in turn, lead to various other economic signs of what was clearly seen at the time as one of the worst crisis ever faced by the greatest country in the world. The government was blamed for the lack of recovery. Obviously this wasn’t working, so public opinion decided to look for a better, more available target to poke at. After pointing their fingers at banks, at market brokers, and at many other easy targets, Americans have come to face the fact that blame-placing was not a solution.

The real solution for those tough economic times was to rely on no one but yourself. To educate yourself, to look for training, and – of course – to understand depression. Depression is not necessarily bad, just like euphoria is not necessarily good. The excessive euphoric boost obtained from the belief on the eternal growth of economy is just now showing how much it can lead to very negative outcomes. In times of depression, the strategies that work are not the same as those that work in euphoric times.

Most of us spend our lives overwhelmed by a deluge of tasks to do, jobs to accomplish and duties to fulfil. An entire industry of time management books and tapes has grown up to help us cram ever more into our crowded work and lives. However recent thinking in the personal productivity industry has focused on doing not more but less. Instead of an endless and frenetic merry-go-round of activity, the focus is now on achieving the “vital few” things that really matter.

One of the pioneers of this school of thinking has been Richard Koch, whose ground-breaking and revolutionary book “The 80/20 Principle” has enabled millions to focus on the few things that really matter. His great insight is the work of the nineteenth century Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto, who discovered that 80% of the land in England was owned by only 20% of the people. This insight proved to be widely applicable across different fields of society, nature and history, so that it can reasonably be assumed that 80% of results in any given system or process derive from just 20% of causes.

Koch recommends a “time revolution” based on a “lazy entrepreneur’s” way of thinking, where more and more activity is not necessarily best. Hi ideas achieved widespread popularity in the Nineties and beyond and been adopted by “lifestyle entrepreneurs” such as Tim Ferriss of “Four Hour Work Week” fame. He argues that we should only focus on what really matters, and schedule short deadlines for their completion. The same ideas have been embraced by Leo Babuta of the top blog “Zen Habits”. In his fascinating and helpful book “The Power of Less”, he challenges the conventional wisdom of “more is better” and shows that focus on the “vital few” is the path to a happier life.

The information revolution has multiplied choices and given us enormous power, but it is truly a double-edged sword. In Babuta’s words, we need to stop “drinking from a fire hose of information” and focus again on what really matters.

When a person undergoes a very traumatizing event like a road accident, incident or just do not feel comfortable about the roads, they will most likely associate their future driving with such an event. Humans always have a tendency to get irrational feelings in particular situations and such a scenario is one of them. This may lead to fear of driving, often referred to as driving phobia. There are so many drivers on our roads who suffer from this condition, if you are a sufferer do not think that you are the only one. This fear is basically an emotional or imaginative manifestation in the mind that the mind believes it is real. The body then switches to “fight or flight” mode, hence the symptoms.

Some of the most common symptoms of this condition include experiencing extreme fear, rapid heartbeat, intense breathing, pain in the stomach and chest, the feeling of death, fear of losing control, hyperventilation, feeling dizzy or faint and tunnel vision among others. If this condition is not treated in good time, it can completely ruin the patient’s life including social and professional life since they will live under constant fear and have to rely on public or others for transport. The sooner this condition is treated the better since it gets worse with time.

The best way to treat mild states of the fear of driving is through self-help techniques that involve mastering courage, confidence and getting rid of stress. This can be achieved through visualization, meditation and relaxation exercises like tai-chi and yoga. Medical remedies are not effective since they only address the symptoms rather than the actual problem. For severe cases of fear of driving, there are professional ways to treat this condition including hypnosis and cognitive behavioral therapy. The important thing is that the fear of driving is treatable, it is important that it be addressed as soon as possible.

If you have been struggling with alcohol problems, you may be interested in attending an alcohol addiction recovery program. By entering into a program like this you will not only be able to get help to get you over the initial detoxification process, but you will also find that you will be surrounded by extremely supportive people who are there to do all they can to help you to succeed.

There are different options available to you. If you want to stay close to home, so that you can stay in touch and have regular contact with your relatives and family, you should be able to find a home alcohol detox clinic close by. If, for various reasons, you would prefer to place some distance between yourself and your regular friends and hangouts, you may instead choose to join a program that is in a different city, for example.

The great thing about these programs is that not only are the staff really supportive and helpful, but you are surrounded by people who are struggling to overcome their dependency just like you are. It is easy to make and then later maintain strong friendships with people that you go through things together with. And the people that you live and go through things with at the treatment center will also offer you a lot of support while at the center too.

If you are concerned about the cost factor you should look into it more. Some may find that their health insurance will cover your treatment, other centers offer discounts or have aid for people who need financial assistance.

Also, make sure that there is a good follow up program, so that you can have continued support once you leave the center. Look for a center that has out-patient facilities, treatment and counseling as well, as you will have a much easier time adapting to a life without alcohol if you can have that continued follow up.

Stress has been documented in children as well as adults, though the levels of stress would be different for these different age groups.

If you’re continually on the run, cannot remember where you park your vehicle, barely have any time for leisure, breathe out heavily, distance yourself from social life, look much older than your tangible age, think about work even before your bedtime, lead a life full of schedules…you are stressed but may not even know it.

Here are a few techniques to cope with stress.

View Stress Positively. Infrequently a tiny dose of stress can inspire us to increase our time management techniques to cause more successful results. While it’s right that all work and no play makes for dreary living, all play and no work isn’t extremely impressive either.

Learn From The Pros. Find an individual you know who never forgets to grin at everyone, wave and be nice regardless of the hustle and bustles of life. This is the individual you need to learn from on the way to manage stress.

Exercise. Take a short walk outside of the office building whenever stress gets out of hand. Otherwise, bring your gym clothes and go to a park for an evening job. Exercising controls blood flow and pumps oxygen from deep inside to the brain, making you energized and more cautious.

Live One Day At a Time. Utilize your life daily by targeting chores that should be done for the day. Worrying about things that are out of your control will not help that much.

Get A Hobby. Often continued stress leads to resentment. Resentment leads to decreased productivity. This leads to more stress. Having a hobby, and taking time to pursue it, allows you to give yourself permission to take time for yourself. This can effectively combat resentment that comes with constant demands on our time.

Unfortunately, all of us are under much more stress today than in generations past.

Life simply moves faster today. If you cannot eliminate stress, take time to learn to cope with it. You will be healthier, get more done and be able to live a happy life despite the constant demands on your attention.

How to fall asleep faster at night? Now that is the most asked question that disturbed people for centuries. It’s very likely that you have been asking yourself this long time ago. Or maybe not, but this doesn’t matter. This is something useful to know.

Some people spend approximately 30 minutes just waiting to fall asleep at night, which means that you can have another 30 minutes or even an hour of sleep each night, if you only knew how to fall asleep fast. This would be perfect, no?

By having a quiet bedroom and checking that you are not disturbed by something else in the moments you force yourself to fall asleep, can be quite successful for you and your sleep. Start counting sheep or any other thing that makes you feel good and after a couple of minutes of counting, you can, hopefully, be asleep already.

Start pretending you are very sleepy, even if it’s not true, just do it and act as if you are, until you are sleepy and then just sleep. Another thing that can help is to simply think that you do something that you really enjoy like running, playing soccer, driving or anything else that gives you a good feeling. This can help you fall asleep faster.

In the first lines of this short article you were probably thinking how some people manage to fall asleep so quick while you are not able to do it? I do hope that now that you have read this, you better understand what you should do so you can develop into someone that others envy. And the only way to do this is to learn how to fall asleep very fast.

Now you have an idea of the things that will stand in your way from accomplishing this and what to avoid to do, so everything ends well. This being said, you can now begin to apply what you’ve learned and enjoy the results.

Gróf András István after surviving to the Nazi invasion of Hungary first (when, being Jew, changed his name to Andras Malesevic), and to Stalin’s dictatorship later, ran off to USA after the Hungarian revolution in 1956. Arrived in the USA with no knowledge of English he changed his name to Andrew “Andy” Grove and graduated in Chemical Engineering. He found employment at Fairchild Semiconductor, and left it with three colleagues to found Intel. In 1995 he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He started to study the disease and refused his doctor’s suggestion to undergo surgery in favor of his own studied treatment, succeeding in defeating the cancer.

Steve Jobs left the college very young after a semester and got landed with sleeping on his ex-mates dorm’s floor. He used to return Coca-Cola bottles for 5 cents each to buy a meal at the local Hare Krishna temple. Later on, after being employed in the computers industry, he founded Apple, with his colleague Steve “Woz” Wozniak. When a new partner joined, Jobs was outvoted and forced to resign. He then founded NeXT and rejoined Apple triumphantly when Apple bought this company some years later.

Chris Gardner, in 1980, following a combination of wrong investments and bad luck, got landed with no money, no house, divorced and with one little son to look after. He hit on a broker and convinced the man to give him employment in a brokerage agency. Sleeping in parks, in train station’s bathrooms, in the office (pretending to be the first one to arrive and the last one to leave) and in 10 dollars per night hostels he started to earn something and, after changing to Bear Stearns & Company, in 1987 he founded Gardner Rich & Co. The company grew and became a holding: Christopher Gardner International Holding Company.

Ingvar Kamprad started to trade with Christmas cards at 5 years of age. At 17 he received from his father money for good marks at school and invested it in pens, wallets, frames, watches, jewelry, sheer stockings and other low cost products. Later on with the proceeds he started to make and sell wooden furnitures. In 1943 he founded IKEA (Ingvar Kamprad Elmtaryd Agunnaryd, combination of his initials and the name of his farm and home town), in 1950 he opened his first furniture trade show in Älmhult, Sweden. At present IKEA consists of 258 sell points in 34 countries.

Richard Branson, affected by dyslexia, never got good marks at school. In spite of that, at the age of 15 he started two companies, one selling Christmas trees and one selling canaries. After their bankrupt, at 16 he founded the magazine “Student”, his first success. He soon founded “Virgin Records”, had legal problems with the sale of records, was arrested and sentenced to pay not payed taxes, To find the money, his mother, Eve, was forced to mortgage her house. Today he is the 236th world’s richest man and owner of the trademark Virgin, with a total of 360 companies.

William Harley and Arthur Davidson, both 20, in 1901 built in a 3mt. by 5 garage a prototype of motorized mono-cylindrical bike using, as it seems, a bean can as carburetor. In the first 2 years of production they sold 2 bikes. in 1903 they founded Harley-Davidson with a annual production of 3 bikes. In 1920 Harley-Davidson was the world’s first motorbikes maker. Today it is a multinational company invoicing more with merchandising than with the motorbikes themselves.

Now stop complaining and start making something of your life.
