Be cool, drink a Orange Juice Smoothie!

Having a summer barbecue? Want to make a healthy drink that is good for you? I suggest making an orange juice smoothie. Drinking an orange juice smoothie isn’t just a cool and fun way to cool off this summer, but it can also be a healthy way for you to spruce up your up coming barbecues this summer. So, why not make a drink that is high in Vitamin C that is proven to boost your immune system. Or a drink that contains a fruit that is proven to lower your blood pressure and cholesterol?

Do, you really want to put off making an orange juice smoothie now? I thought not! So, why not picking up some common fruits at the store such as strawberries or cherries they will make for a great garnish on the side of your drink. You can find many orange juice smoothie mixes at the grocery store or you can make them homemade. Personally I like to make my smoothies homemade.  A personal favorite recipe that I have came up with for an orange juice smoothie is a variation on the Orange Julius Smoothie. If you take one cup of ice, two slices of orange, one strawberry, five grapes, a cup of milk, a cup of orange juice and blend them all together until they are smooth you have a great healthy drink that would make any person want to come back for more. Simply place into your smoothie making machine and you are on your way!  Orange juice smoothies fit in at any situation weather you are going to the gym, having a family barbecue, or laying out by the pool a smoothie will be a good way to give you energy through out your day. Be sure to try and make an orange juice smoothie this summer for a fun time and many new memories. Mix it up this summer and let your children make their own recipes, they will have a fun time trying new drinks and just spending time with you!
